I Was Ashamed The First Day I Wore White Garment and Walked Barefooted - SBJ Oshoffa

The reason Celestial Church wore white garments (sutana) and walk barefooted was made known in a video interview of the founder of the Church, Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa.

In the video, Oshoffa was being interviewed by an interviewer who asked various questions. One of the questions answered by Oshoffa was why Church members walk without footwear while on a white garment.

The founder was asked by the interviewer, that when the Church started, the Church didn't have any specific clothes members wear. 

Oshoffa responded by saying, "The day I was instructed to wear this white cloth, I was ashamed... I was to attend the naming ceremony of one of my members." He disclosed that it was at the naming ceremony he first wore a white garment and walk barefooted.

He revealed that he was ashamed that as someone well known, how would it look if he is seen walking without footwear and wearing a white garment. "I said that I that is well known should wear a white cloth and walk barefooted", Oshoffa mentioned.

When he was asked, who instructed him and Celestial Church members to start wearing a white garment and walk barefooted, Reverend SBJ replied that "the Holy Spirit." 

He also stated that although he didn't learn how to sew clothes, the design of the Church's white garment clothes was described to him by the Holy Spirit, through vision. Watch the video below.
