Lack of proper understanding has resulted in members of the Church to not understand that they have the right to question the authenticity of spiritual works and messages given to them by prophets.

Celestial Enigmatic, which is a prophetic group in the Church, mentioned that an important aspect of prophecy is questioning the quality of messages delivered by prophets, but unnecessary attachment of emotions has resulted to Christians forgetting that they have the right to do so.

"Right now in the Celestial Church we have lots of people constantly doing unnecessary spiritual work because a prophet told them to do it… We run to do it without even knowing you have your right to understand and ask why. This lack of proper understanding has confused many in the Church and is still confusing, the prophet group revealed in one of its daily articles.

In the same light, popular online preacher Evangelist T. Aluko declared that anyone in the Church that says his or her spiritual activities and works, messages, vision,  cannot be questioned is wrong and not speaking the truth, as no one is above the instructions of the Bible as mentioned in 1 John 4:1, which he quoted, "Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
