The Superior Evangelist made this known while speaking at the just concluded 17th Annual Youth Conference of the Church.
It's a common practice to see members of Students' Parishes, Fellowships and the various youth bodies with letters of assistance, financial support envelopes and the likes, frankly soliciting for funds from Parishes, whenever they are about to organize an event or project.
He said the Students' Parish in his Alma Matar Olabisi Onabanjo University, OOU, in Ogun State, Nigeria, raised 11 million Naira for her 30th Anniversary by not begging from any Parish, but from the alumni of the Student Parish.
Saying "We stopped asking for funds when those we sent out to Parishes, informed us that a Parish said, don't you people have those who had graduated from your institution."
This he said made them seek the help of the Alumni who are always ready to help.
He therefore urged delegates at the Conference to assist in making the Oshoffa Miracle Fortress a more befitting place, as no one (parishes and pastors) would do so for them.
