Halleluyah,

Welcome to today's edition of the sermon, may the Good Lord inspire you to do great things in Jesus name (Amen).

Today's Topic: Listen To The Master.
Text: Mark 10: 17 - 27
Memory Verse: Mark 10: 24

"The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!"

May people want to follow Christ, yet allow themselves to be distracted. There are many distractions out there and riches is one of them.

Many people had lost their discipleship of Christ due to riches. Jesus emphatically said "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God," but if you observe clearly in Mark 10: 24 that " The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God!"

Now, Master Jesus did not rule out the rich out rightly, but they have a slim chance of making it into the Kingdom of God. Why?

Apostle Paul's message to Timothy in 1 Timothy 6: 7-10.

It baffles me, when I notice how desperate people have become, even our so called Father in the Lord and modern days Christian leaders.

You might want to ask what would be our gain as followers of Christ? Christ gave the answer to this question in Mark 10: 28-30.

My submission, Jesus did not condemn the rich, because of their riches, but condemn their love for riches.

The desperation of the rich and to become rich, has indeed affected this generation.

Christ is telling us today, that it will be very difficult to pursue the Kingdom of God and riches at the same time. But he promised not to forsake us in the time of need. 1 Timothy 6: 6-8.

Thank you for your time. See you next week.
