Honour and adoration to Jehovah our creator. He is a faithful father. You're welcome to another edition of my sermon on Celestial Church Blog. The text for the week is Philippians 3v12-16. The topic is ".........towards the goal".


" Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but i press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it.

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I PRESS ON TOWARDS THE GOAL to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus". These were the words of Paul to the saints at Philippi. Phi. 3v12-14 NIV.

Moral Lessons.

1. The ultimate goal of a Christian is to reign with God in paradise. LK 23v43; 2 Co 12v4; Rev 2v7.

2. Pressing on towards the goal entails routine check and regular religious activities.

3. Starting the race well is only recognised when the race ends well.

4. Our present state with God determines our future with Him. The past is gone and thus not too relevant.

5. Attaining the goal (paradise) involves regular effort. You're not there until you're finally there.
