Brethren, I decided to composed the topic in a manner that highlights the major issues discussed in the text. The topic is very similar to the content in the last verse of 1 Cor. Chapter thirteen. Each of the matter in the topic are very relevant and good as a topic, but when arranged together one supersede the other. In verse six, Christ said " I tell you, something greater than the temple is here"
MY POINTS
1. As Christians, it is our responsibility to acquire sound knowledge about the basic/fundamental concept or matters in the Bible. Matters like Baptism, Circumcision, Sabbath, Temple, Trinity, Resurection, Temptation etc.
2. Like the people of the old, Christians mostly accord more recognition to the laws made by man than the commandment of God.
3. Christians tend to apply the law rigidly neglecting emergency situations. Matt. 12 v 1&3.
4. Most of what we crucify ourselves on does not really matter........... A case of surplus fruits that we keep in the Church for rats or that will get rotten because members must not touch them since they were not "called".
5. Most importantly, when matters are discussed together like the case of this topic, we should be able to arrange them in a hierarchical order and treat them accordingly. Christ supersede in all. Matt. 12 v 6.
6. For the son of man is Lord of the Sabbath. Matt. 12 v 8. The statement however has a unique interpretation. We must get it right.
