Herbert Spencer defined death as, “cessation of correspondence with the environment”. This implies death is a mere transition from this plane to another creation.

Despite my grief over your unexpected transition my big brother, my knowledge and understanding of you sent a tingle of loss and consolation at the same time down my vertebrae.

Though, I am sure that even at death, there is gain. Apostle Paul speaks, “For to me to live is Christ and to die is gain”. - Phil. 1: 21. Your exit by me is just a mere disconnect from this ethereal plane, in that a better place lies ahead of you over there.

In retrospect, my rapport with you started long before you started your Evangelical Ministry, Maranatha. Even before those years when we both lived together at, #8 Joseph Shyngle, Surulere, Lagos, you would say, “Demola, your teaching hovers around the tenet of Celestial Church of Christ”.

I remained unperturbed. While I was proudly teaching the tenet of Celestial Church of Christ without mincing words and as the Lord had given me understanding, you were equally teaching the Bible confidently from the theological viewpoint.

Having studied the two of us, I have concluded that we are like a bird with two wings. One wing is Demola teaching the church liturgy and the other is Dr. Omololu teaching theology.

Be that as it may, in your last discussion with me at Imeko on the 23rd of December, 2016 when you came around to the GTG ground to relate with me, I remember those sweet words and convictions you made, which still echoes in my ears up until now, when you said, “Demola, I give it to you on what you teach (Ilana), you have gained mastery on it over time, and I would call you a professional in your own right as touching it”.

You didn’t hide it when you added that, you also teach Ilana (tenet) now. I’m so glad that even before your departure, you were convinced of the need for us to teach about our great church, Celestial Church of Christ.

However, your tenacity and courage at teaching what you believed in makes me regard you as a big brother, because you were undaunted and uncowed by human machinations.

You stood tall in your area of strength amongst others of your ilk and even protégés, because you were very original in your own way.

You truly did the work of an Evangelist, communicating the gospel to all and sundry, from one end of the globe to the other.

In my estimation, it is no doubt that you were the most travelled Evangelist that I know from our church and I bid you farewell my vibrant brother.

I pray the Lord will grant you eternal rest and will keep all that you left behind till the day of Jesus Christ. May the Lord grant the family and associates the fortitude to bear the loss. (Amen). Adieu egbon mi- Dr. Alexander Omololu Oladosu.
