The need for choirs in the fold to sing songs which would be spirit filled has been accented as one of the missing link between the new generation choirs and those who were much around in the past.

In an article titled Celestial Church of Chirst Choir are not killing themselves, but the Celestial Spirit, Michael Folorunso the author of the article, expressed that a lot of people accept that Celestial Church of Christ is truly sent by God due to the hymns revealed through the Holy Spirit to prophets, the founder of the Church, babies and the sick.

He stressed that apart from the beauty of the hymns, choirs in the past often compete fiercely with themselves in order to release the album which is more inspirational.

"Apart from the Spiritual song book which we call hymn book, during the years of the Pastor/Founder SBJ Oshoffa various parishes released different inspirational albums on their harvest days which where sold to Celestials who come for the harvest or after the harvest, this albums where also available at the end of the year convocation or at Makoko during the easter period.

"Hit albums where from Makoko, Yemetu, Army barracks, Agege, Ijeshatedo, etc. It was a fierce competition especially between Makoko and Army barrack. Baba Brobro leading the Makoko side and Baba Remi Olabanji on Army barracks side. Yemetu was also a big contender but with a unique style with them introducing Igbo language in some of their albums" Folorunsho wrote.
