Reverend Gilbert Oluwatosin Jesse's Profile is Celestial Ovation's legend of the week

 Gilbert Oluwatosin Jesse was born in Mahin, Ilaje – Ese Odo Local Government of Ondo State, Nigeria, on the 17th day of May 1937.

His early life was in Lagos, where he had his Primary Education at the St Paul’s Catholic Primary School, Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

After completion of his Primary education, he proceeded by attending the Lagos City College, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos where he had his West African School Certificate in 1958.

Young Gilbert Oluwatosin Jesse after his secondary education was employed as a Clerical Officer at the Prime Minister's office, Racecourse, where he worked very briefly and later left for the Federal Establishment, where he worked until retirement in 1972.

Jesse joined the Celestial Church of Christ in 1953 at National Headquarters, Makoko, Yaba, Lagos State. In 1969, He established a parish in Ikorodu Road, Fadeyi.

Before he became a Full-time Shepherd in 1975, he traded in Electronics and Vehicles, which were the reputable business in Nigeria in the 70’s.

In the year 1979, he was instrumental to the startup of the Celestial Church of Christ Ojota Parish 1.

Gilbert Oluwatosin Jesse was anointed with the rank of Most Senior Evangelist in 1988, and was deployed to Ogun as the State Evangelist.

Two years after his appointment as the State Evangelist in Ogun State, he was reassigned back to Lagos where he was given charge of the Surulere/ Ijeshatedo Districts and also Shepherd Celestial Church of Christ, Olajuwon Tejuosho Parish.

Gilbert Oluwatosin Jesse died on the 7th of October 2003. May His Soul Rest in Peace.
