The need for corruption to be tackled have been emphasized as important for the even distribution of wealth in Nigeria. This declaration was made when the 70th anniversary committee of the church visited Red Cross Orphanage Home at Makoko and the SOS Children Village at Isolo.

According to the Guardian, Prophet Emmanuel Soyemi, who led the delegation of the anniversary committee said: “Jesus Christ asks us to take care of his people. The CCC was at the Internally Displaced Peoples (IDPs) camp in Abuja last week to donate similar items to victims of terrorism.

"We have donated the same items to the orphanage home in Makoko today and now we are at SOS to do the same. . Corruption in the society should be tackled so that the national wealth can be used to take care of all.”

The items donated by the anniversary committee at the SOS orphanage home include hundreds of tubers of yam, cartons of indomie noodle, kegs of groundnut oil, 30 bags of rice and large bags of beans. The same items were given to the red Cross orphanage in Makoko.
