Cross section of female members observing Sunday service
More than a decade after the introduction of the title of the Mother in Celestial as the most senior title women are entitled to put on in the fold, there are plans by the leaders of the church to create another title which is more higher than that of the Mother in Celestial.

Findings shows that the leaders of the second largest faction of the church which is situated in Benin Republic, are not contemplating this, but the two largest factions in Nigeria have it in the pipeline, according to sources close to the two factions.

Last year, the leader of the Nigeria Diocese, Reverend Beni Omoge gave a hint regarding this, while he spoke about the good works of women at an event. He said due to the work of women in the fold, there will be need to recognised them in the church, highlighting that there is the possibility of the post to have an evangelist tag.

However, Omoge's statement didn't go down well with some faithfuls, who declared that the position of an evangelist is exclusively owned by males in the church.

A source close to the Nigeria Diocese, told us that were plans to add an additional post to that of the females in the church, but due process is been done before the idea will be made public. "We are looking at the positive and the negative aspect of it. You know this matter is very delicate" the source said.

However, the source close to Ketu described the idea as necessary, looking at the way the current post, Mother in Celestial have become a title for everyone.

The source stated that, "some people brought the idea and the council is looking at it. It has its advantages and disadvantages, but if introduced, members will see that the idea is for the benefit of the church."

When the source was asked what will be the name of the title and what date will it be announced, he replied that there are many options, but the most likely one to be used is Superior Mother in Celestial. He added that although there is no specific date yet for such to be announced, but it may be made public before the end of 2018.
