While the 3 and 7 members congregational prayer are significant aspect of all the services observed in our church, Leke Olulana noticed that the way these prayers are made would probably not make them to be answered by God.

In an article titled, unanswered prayers in church, the manner some of those who engage in the prayer behave were acknowledged by Olulana as inimical to the approval of such prayers.

In the article he listed the two major reasons these prayers remain unanswered as:

1. "Most people try to impress and show that they can pray. They focus on rhymes. They try to twist their tongues, use the best accent, big grammars and there by lose focus.

"When they are supposed to be in spirit and focus on who they are praying to. Forgetting it is public prayer."

2. "Another one is people trying to show they are prayer warriors. They can pray for hours(hyperbole). Especially during 3/7 members prayer and the last prayer by a woman.

"When some people start to pray, u just have to sit or lie down. Some will cough and cough like they need water (omi iyasimimo), thinking they will end but they just started. Some members do go home during the last female's prayer( adura ipari esin lenu obirin to julo).

"They want to show they are mothers. They pray for their children and husband(s). It is good to sing while praying as some have their favorite songs. But some can sing up to 5 songs in just one prayer. I am not saying it isn't good to spend much time on prayer, but when in public as referenced above, we should be meticulous."
