Spiritual works are part of God's plan for the church, but believing in them and neglecting God's commandments, will not make members see the efficiency of spiritual work, Evangelist Raphael Oloyede advised.

Oloyede made this known while delivering the Sunday sermon at CCC Ile Ileri Parish, Ijegun 2 on Sunday 18th March. He said that as much as members of the church engage in spiritual works, they must ensure that they are also obedient to God's instructions.

"The spiritual works are unique. They are mysteries. They are part of God's plan for the church, however, many Celestians have left aside what God want. They have more believe in the spiritual works rather than doing God's will.

What God want is for you to obey his commandments, helping the needy and protecting the poor. Some prefer to fornicate and committee adultery, because they believe that spiritual work will save them. They are deceiving themselves." he stated.

On fasting, he implored members of the church to always appear good while fasting and rededicate themselves to God by ensuring that they follow the advised of Prophet Isaiah in Chapter 58 of his book.

"Fasting is good, but you must not appear horrible and sad to the extent that people will be asking what is wrong with you." Oloyede advised.
