The incessant violence in Nigeria, such as attacks by Boko Haram, herdsmen and kidnapping are signs of the end time, as they are important reasons for Nigerians to repent and draw closer to God.

The Independent reported that the visioner of Genesis Evangelism Ministry, Prophet Ekunola Davies opined this at an interdenominational service.

He was quoted as saying “we need to surrender genuinely to God for Him to guide us to our predestined destination. The leadership and citizenry should surrender their conscience to God without further delay.

“If we go to God, believe in Him we will not indulge in evil. Anyone who commits himself or herself totally will not do evil. When the righteous are in authority, the people will rejoice, but when the wicked rule people mourn,” he stated.

“The security agents must be up and doing to stop the evil in land. The restraining hand of God is keeping the world form total collapse and so also it is for Nigeria. God does all this through his work by bringing the Bible to the conscience of humanity.”
