In a bid to set a standard for the yearly anointment scheme, a report by Brother Emmanuel on Celestial4Lifers, has it that the premier faction of the church, the Ketu faction rejected the applications of 57 male members seeking anointment, during the just concluded anointment season for the first batch of anointment in 2018.

A total of 7 ranks Superior Senior Leader, Honorary Evangelist, Senior Evangelist, Most Evangelist, Superior Evangelist, Venerable Evangelist and Assistant Most Evangelist, were identified as positions these male members were seeking to be promoted to.

This is a practice worth commending, as it is against the previous norm, where members are merely anointed and promoted to any ranks they are assigned to by their shepherds, without recourse to ascertaining if they merit such positions.

In the report, it was stated that the decision of the church authorities to dash the hope of these male members and their shepherds, got them disappointed, as they felt that after worshipping and working in the vineyard in a particular position for three, four, five years or more they were not cleared to move forward.

However, it was learnt that the application of female members were not rejected, as all the 700 female applicants got their applications approved.
