Reverend EMF Oshoffa and Ooni of Ife
The debate on whether it is against the church's doctrine for the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11 to have read the first Bible lesson at the just concluded 2018 Christmas Convocation of the Church is on going as many have diverse opinions on this simple issue.

We did a check on the church's constitution and we found that section 108 or page 36, with the heading, "The Pastor", put more light to the issue and gives a clear answer to this matter.

The section reads: "The Pastor as the ultimate Spiritual Head of the Celestial Church worldwide shall be vested with the sole ultimate and unchallengeable authority on all matter affecting Church life, be it planning, organisation, doctrinal standard and the spread of Doctrines, Education, Legislation or Discipline, the provision of the Church notwithstanding".

Thus, the section above put to rest every issue raised by members of the church who are against the reading of the Bible lesson by the Ooni. In clear terms, the Pastor of the church has the right to review the church doctrines, as done in the case of allowing the Ooni the privilege to reading a Bible lesson and no one has the right to "challenge" the Pastor's action.

The Pastor of the Church may be wrong in his decision, but since he is empowered by the constitution to take such decisions, members can call for a review of the section if they feel aggrieved about it contents. This is what makes constitutional democracy interesting.
