Succession to the throne of the pastor is a constitutional issue which makes it easy for anyone to claim the pastoral seat, so says Adesina Amao in a Facebook post.

“The problem (pastoral succession) is constitutional and it may be unresolvable till our Lord appears in Glory. But come to think of it, must the church come under one human pastor? No.” he asked.

Adesina argued that God is not interested in the human, political or administrative head of the church. He cited this as the reason why it difficult and impossible for the church to have one human pastor.

“God is more interested in Spiritual headship of His Church than human, political or administrative head of the Church. That's why he allowed the drafters of the blue book, CCC constitution to make what looks like a mistake that is now making it difficult and impossible for the church to have one human pastor.” Amao revealed.

He maintained that this is the reality which must be embraced as the truth, as it is necessary for the church to come together and elect coordinating officers that will see to the affairs of the church.

“This will form a bond of unity without the constitutional logjam of pastoral office. This arrangement will remove distractions of this perpetual clamouring about who becomes Pastor and who does not. Who collects two third, who does not. Who collects anointing fee, who does not.”

He proceeded to implore members of the church to focus more on God rather than been distracted about is the pastor of the church.
