The desire of the planning committee of the 2019 Christmas Convocation to organize a better edition of the annual event can be ascertained from the statement released by the committee in respect to this year’s edition.

The statement titled “Camp Rules” identified 5 major important notice to faithfuls of the church.


1. The ₦500 Car Park Ticket

Local government authority in Imeko will be making use of the convergence of the largest gathering of celestians to increase the internal generated revenue (IGR) of the Local Government.

“While entering Imeko, you are required to pay N500 (Five hundred naira) car park ticket.” a part of the statement reads. The committee therefore appeal to members to cooperate with the local government officials.

2. Wrongfully Parked Cars will be towed

Some roads are going to be blocked and vehicles will be diverted to enable free movement. Due to this the committee has provided four designated car parks at Imeko.

The committee warned in the statement that cars that are parked indiscriminately will be towed away.






3. Provision of Overflow

“Overflow has been provided, once the church is filled please use the overflow on both sides of the basilica” the statement reveal.

Overflow is an extra area provided by the organizers of an event when the major auditorium meant for the event is filled.

4. Provision of Information Centre

If you are lost or confused about anything within Imeko , you just need to find your way to the front of the basilica, where the information centre for the event is situated for necessary enquiries. Complaint forms are available at the information centre.

5. Introduction of capacity programme

Programmes have been put in place for various segments of the church. Business and Empowerment workshops for the youth, a master class for choir members and capacity building seminars for women, clergy, prophets, sidesmen and woman.

The committee encouraged faithfuls to familiarize themselves with the programme schedule as indiscriminate roaming is highly discouraged.
