Had the members of Holy Promise Parish, Eleyewo, Akure North Local Government Area not observing a prayer vigil on the early hours of Saturday 28th March, they would have been among those who were severely wounded or killed as a result of a controversial bomb explosion, which some argued is an asteroid coming down, while others were of the opinion that it was caused by an IED which mistakenly exploded.






While there are two churches close to the place of explosion, the one belonging to Celestial Church of Christ, was having a prayer vigil when the explosion took place around 1:30am, however there was no prayer vigil at the other church, the Possibility Prayer Mountain for All Nations.

Due to been awake as a result of the vigil, members of Holy Promise Parish, which include a family of five, escaped death by the whiskers as the roof of the church caved in due to the explosion which impact was felt around the state. Miraculously non of the members were injured.


Unfortunately some members of the Possibility Prayer Mountain for All Nations church sustained various forms of injuries as the building in the church compound collapsed injuring those inside, as reported by the Nations Newspaper.
