With the Federal and State government introducing various forms of lockdown in order to contain the spread of the corona virus pandemic, Celestians have been advised to fully comply with every decision of the government in getting a solution to the crisis.

This advice was given in a statement by Superior Evangelist Olanrewaju Omolayo, the President of the Executive Council of the Northern Archdiocese of the Church in Kaduna. He advised members in states under lockdown, especially those in Kaduna State, to avoid any form of temptation in observing church activities, irrespective of how skeletal it may be.

The Daily Sun reported that Omolayo advised members to continue praying at home, stating that, “all shepherds and parishioners to be wary of the devil’s manipulation, not to open the church for any skeletal services to avoid revocation of land, demolition of structures and prosecutions by the Kaduna State Government as spelt out in the lockdown extension order.”
