The introduction of clay pots for spiritual works in the Celestial Church is necessarily not spiritual but economic, says Evangelist Paul Yusuf in a interview published in Celestial Glory International Magazine.

In the interview, Yusuf revealed that the use of certain materials for the spiritual works are alien practices, as they were introduced to the church through various means. On the usage of clay pots in the church, the Evangelist disclosed that: “In fact, what we know of clay pots is that in the olden days, it was the rich that could afford iron white basin for spiritual works when we were small then. It all happened before my eyes that time.

“So, it was the native pots that the poor people could afford that time. And they never ask us to break it. Then, after one person has finished with it, he or she will drop it for another people to fetch water for spiritual bath.”

He opined that the usage of the clay pot led to it abuse by Shepherds as it was introduced by some Egun speaking members of the Church.

Celestial Glory International Magazine quoted Yusuf as saying, “it is that age-long practice that our shepherds have abused now to “Ise Fokoko”. What exactly are they breaking? It was the Eguns that imported the alien practices into Celestial Church.”
