Elder Brother Temitope Jaiyeola says lining up during Jerimoyahmah (processional and recessional hymn), should not be seen as a form of seniority but a call to deliver those lining up at the front.

“Unfortunately, some have misinterpreted and misused it as a mere expression of bodily 'seniority', position/rank tussle and struggle, and have even falling into the trap of the evil of fighting for position and ranks/titles within the body of Christ; therefore working and walking in crisis.” he wrote in the article titled “Get the behind me!!! procession and recession orders in CCC.”

The state secretary of CCC youth organisation in Osun State, Nigeria explained that those who queue behind other worshippers must be able to deliver those at the front from any evil with the power of God. He cited the story of Lot’s wife as an example. He argued that had Lot be proactive while his family were leaving Sodom, he won’t have allowed his wife to be behind him.

“When Lot and his family were 'recessing' out of the city of Sodom, as the ‘shepherd' of his family, be should have been behind all others. But unfortunately, he allowed his wife be behind him, thereby giving her the chance to look back from behind him against the instruction of God. Whence, she perished!

“Thus, by being positioned behind any fellow worshiper during processing/recession into a service means you must be able to lead, guide and deliver that person out of any evil with power and glory as we walk and work in God's kingdom.” Jaiyeola explained.
