As Celestians in some climes are getting ready to resume for church activities, a parish in Ogun State is about to observe a Harvest of Corona Glory. The argument on Celestial Sphere for or against the theme of the harvest shows that the act of consulting the Holy Spirit before harvest themes are chosen may be becoming extinct or rather the church is not hearing from the Holy Spirit as it should be.

This also shows that those who have been advocating for sufficient level of literary for our clergies and the parochial committee or church management are right. As a church, it is important to be assertive in making sure that those who become clergies have the right spiritual and educational qualification. Although one of the definition of corona relates to a crown, but at a time when the world is battling hard to defeat the novel Corona Virus, the optics with such a theme may not be appropriate.

Be that as it may, The clause, “Papa (Oshoffa) so pe” (Papa said that) is often touted as a statement of fact, in order to make members comply with certain aspects of the church’s doctrines and tenets, but findings have shown that there are a number of times this statement is false and a church or her workers should not be seen in the distortion of facts. A perfect example is the keeping of beards, as SBJ Oshoffa did not yield to pressure when he was instructed to condemn the act. Why then should anyone lie about this or speak otherwise? In this light, we may also need to ask that how many of the Church’s doctrines and tenets are based on the lies of “Papa so pe”?

Moving forward, most of those in support of the claim of Reverend Emmanuel Oshoffa as the spiritual head of the Church are often very abusive and intolerant to other claimants of the pastoral seat and their supporters. However, a video showing Most Superior Evangelist Deji Nunayon emphatically stating that his principal was only chosen as the regent and not the bona fide pastor of the Church surfaced online.

In another video, Superior Evangelist Tosho Oshoffa declared that the late Reverend Paul Maforikan is the true claimant of the pastoral seat. These two videos became a shocker to supporters of Reverend Oshoffa.

By implication, these videos should serve as a unifier, as Celestians need to understand that every claimant of the pastoral seat need to be respected, as those who we do not accept as the bona fide pastor, might actually by God’s choice for the Church.
