Wedding ceremony taking place in the church

Young members of the Church on Celestial Sphere are currently sharing their opinions on why brothers and sisters do not get married to each other. Although this topic seems to never have an end whenever it is debated, we take a look at this ongoing discussion after an article was published by Cele Generation. During the discussion there were continuous blame game between brothers and sisters accusing each other of been the cause of the problem.

Why reacting to the discussion, a male member, Makinde Precious responded with “That's how our girls are. A male member was asking a female member out and she was shouting jah.”

But Omojuwa Oluwatimileyin Idowu responded with a satiric comment as “Why brothers don't marry ladies in Celestial is because they usually see how they fight for beans ipese...oya say anoda one.”

In his opinion, Ademiluyi Victor opined that no side should be blamed, as “it’s never 100% fault of the sisters or the brothers. He explained that what is being witnessed is as a result of the continuous deflection from the lay down biblical principles and standards.

However, getting married from the same denomination doesn’t guarantee a successful marriage, were the thought of Olajide Richard. “If I marry a Muslim I won't die. Marrying a Celestian doesn't guarantee a good home. It’s not the church. It’s the personality.”

A prominent youth leader in her locality, Mary Ige-Omogboye who married a member from within the fold observed that the excuses being giving for members not getting married to each other are shallow. “In my own fold, 85% of my friends married in the fold. Presently many are celebrating 10yrs anniversary. The youths need to socialize among themselves to discover more about each other. All reasons stated seem too shallow for me,” Mary noted.

Another member Assan Green, observed that there are a whole lot of factors which mitigate against members getting married to each other, as he asked “but who wants to get married when he knows that the chances of a long lasting relationship is thin?”

Assan noted that individual perception and allowing God to lead is paramount. “It is good, but more importantly is individual perceptions, we may like ourselves, but may never want to marry each other based on our individual opinions. Let's trust God to lead us on,” he wrote.

But revered youth leader, Michael Omogboye argued that those finding it difficult to get married within the fold should check themselves. He wrote “I still see many well behaved youths who end up marrying in the celestial fold and the numbers are increasing, So, I really don't know where those with negative views get their data from. If all you see around you is negative, you really may need to check yourself, the people you mix with in the fold and the immediate environment to which you have limited yourself.”

In throwing more light into the discussion, Ademiluyi Victor advised that “let the brothers make a man as that in (Job 29) and the sisters make a woman as that in (proverbs 31), then we can all make a home as that of (Psalms 112: 1-3).
