Most Superior Evangelist S.O Banjo


The powers and authority of the leader of the largest faction in Celestial Church of Christ in Nigeria, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, has been usurped by his subordinates.


In an interview with Celestial News Online, CNO, Most Superior Evangelist S.O Banjo listed Solomon Oshoffa, Benjamin Oshoffa, and Abraham Ajose amongst others as those who have taken power from EMF and now control him.


Banjo said the choice of EMF as the leader of the Church was made in the interest of the Church, but EMF is only interested in acquiring power, but such power and its authority have been taken over by those close to him. 


"We did all we did (make EMF pastor) in the interest of the Church. It is only Mobiyina that is always thinking someone wants to wrestle power from him or challenge his authority. That is what his subordinates have fed him with anyway.


"EMF has no power or authority. Benjamin, Solomon, Ajose, etc., are the people controlling him. Even Papa, who God used to plant the Church, never arrogated unnecessary power and influence to himself like him. He will say something to A in the morning, and B will be told a different person (sic) in the afternoon, Banjo expounded.


While narrating how EMF was chosen as the Pastor, Banjo disclosed that prophets were gathered in Imeko, and after reviews of many spiritual message papers, only a few messages were considered out of about 43 spiritual messages. However, this method was queried by the publisher of CNO, Alonge Michael, as subjective because only two spiritual messages out of about 43 were considered correct, thus making it seems like a premeditated event.
