Prophet Dele Ogundipe

While delivering a speech at the thanksgiving service to celebrate his post-conviction bail by the Court of Appeal in Lagos, Popular Lagos Celestial Church clergy, Prophet Dele Israel Ogundipe declared that his ordeal during the trial and his period in prison is as a result of God passing him a message.


Prophet Ogundipe who shepherds, Celestial Church of Christ, Genesis Global was found guilty of converting the property and money of Mrs. Oladele Williams-Oni to his personal use by Justice Olabisi Akinlade of Lagos High Court and sentenced to a one-year prison term on November 18. However, based on health grounds, a 3 man panel of the Court of Appeal in Lagos, granted him a post-conviction bail on April 1.


In his speech at the thanksgiving service on Sunday, Ogundipe maintained his innocence but declared that his ordeal was sanctioned by God. "Don’t worry, you will hear a lot of stories. That is the only place God can send me for practical and I come out to feed you back, not in heaven, because I can’t come back. He wouldn’t send me to heaven,


"Do you think you know how to pray? Thank God for what He’s done for you. Let me tell you, there’s a reason God sent me there. Eleven million can never be my problem. Something that was said to be around N2.5 million suddenly became N11 million and I was told to do a plea bargain but I would advise anybody not to.” Sahara Reporters reports.
