The need to imbibe the deep principle of love and obedience is more important than the mere display of actions such as eating of ipese (feast) made of beans and corn says Kayode Edun.
In an article, Edun mentioned that members had been engaging in love feast for years without any achievement because love has been set aside and obedience to God's word has not been followed.
"When CCC members pray together, eat beans and corn, (pray) and drink water together for love amongest themselves... I laugh and begin to wonder... For how many years have we done this? Yet where is the love? We have sidelined love... Jesus Christ the owner of His Church says if you love me obey my commandments."

He proceeded to express that rather than following the commandment of Christ, a good number of members have allowed the devil to make use of "rank, position and money to institute deadly competitions within members" which has created division in parishes and the Church at large.
He appealed that the only way the eating of ipese can be of benefit is if members follow in the footpath laid down by the founder of the Church. Edu wrote, " We will eat beans forever except we go back to obedience like the founding father. This will make the Holy Spirit stay and fruits of the Holy Spirit will manifest in us all. This will translate to unending love, where you fight for others and not self.
