As various factions of the Church wraps up their anointment session for the first part of the year, the demand for Church shepherds not to pay for anointment has been voiced out by members of the Church.

In a discussion monitored on Celesphere regarding the monetary value placed on anointment in the Church. It was mentioned in one of the comments that shepherds paying for anointment is similar to the workers paying for promotion. This was the opinion observed by Olufemi Abiola.

He wrote that "Yes, if not, why must church Shepherds pay for anointment? It's just as if you ask public servants to pay before they are promoted.

Also, a member, Abimbola Elufisan mentioned that clergies are pressured to pay exorbitant fees to receive an anointment.  "Anointment today in Celestial Church of Christ is about money l stand to be corrected, even the real Church workers pay through their noses before getting anointed, and their bosses who supposed to be of help even hand twisted them and add more to their woes.
