Fastin in Celestial Church

Fasting in Celestial Church goes beyond not eating or drinking for hours, says Kayode Edun in an article titled Fasting and Celestians.

In the article, Edun mentioned that fasting involves sacrificing one's comfort in order to be holy before Jehovah. He defined fasting as, the "sacrifice of your comfort in holiness to Jehovah." Edun further describes fasting as an activity "that weakens the body so as not to have extra strength for sins... as it separates us from many people so that our spirit is focused on Jehovah... fasting takes us from our comfort zones, he declares."

Edun warned that fasting without discomfort is an exercise in vain. He proceeded to list activities practices by Celestians that could be considered as fasting, because they take one from one's comfort zone.

He mentioned the traditional wearing of white garments (sutana), the act of not putting on footwear while on white garments, abstinence from alcohol, fornication, and adultery, attending Church activities, and engaging in selfless works for Jehovah, amongst others as forms of fasting practices by God-fearing Celestians.
