 As a result of the current high rate of insecurity in Nigeria, the authority of the Church has advised members of the Church, Management Committees and Parochial Committees on security tips for all parishes of the Church in Nigeria. Amongst the tips are;

 

1. The era of wasting time during services should be avoided as services should now be within a reasonable time so parishioners can return to their various homes in good time.  

 

2. Those who are to preach should focus on salvation and avoid political messages, and also should avoid condemning other religions, tribes and denominations.

 

 3. Parishes should avoid unnecessary show-offs during harvest and other important services such as spraying of money and praise-singing of individuals that can attract miscreants. 

 

 4. The establishment of a security committee which comprises of those who are well informed in security matters and they work hand in hand with the sides, men/women.

 

5. Members of the Church should stop posting offensive messages about politics, religion, and others that can attract the attention of terrorists on social media.

 

6. Beggers, cart pushers who are from the North should not be allowed into the premises of the Church. 

 

7. The welcoming of visitors should be minimized. Also, those living within the Church premises should be given rules and regulations which are to be strictly followed.

 

8. Strangers should not be allowed to bring any luggages, or bags into the Church premises.

 

 9.Members of all parishes should be wary of strangers. Parishes should register members of their Church, household by household and record their home addresses and occupations for ease of reference.
