Women are generally more likely to believe and practice a religion than men do, as a way attending more Church services than their male counterparts, the Economist stated in a recent publication.

The following 3 reasons, were identified as reasons why women tend to be more religious than men.

1. Women are more determined.

The determination of women during crises make them more devoted. It is generally known that during depression, a woman would tend to take her problem to the Church than sit at home thinking about it, which a man would most likely do.

"Among religious practices that revolve around the home generally falls to women", the Economist said.

2. They Mostly Decide To Move To Another Church/Denomination.

"Among certain new forms of faith, women often lead the way in making the religious switch, hoping their families will follow" the report stated.

A cursory look at how members join Celestial Church, one would certainly agree to this. Mostly, the women (non-member) would be the first to go to a Parish for spiritual guidance (isona) before the male counterparts do.

3. Increasing financial activeness of women.

In recent times, more women are becoming financially buoyant. Due to this, they either contribute to their family's income or are sole financiers, thereby having a say over what denomination the entire family would practice.

The report analysed that "one could sum up the situation like this: in situations of stress, ranging from persecution to economic transition to breakdown, religion can be a form of resilience and social capital, and women are the main guardians and transmitters of that capital".
