Christians had been advised not to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ in a manner that won't show gratitude to God.

This was made known by Reverend Emmanuel Oshoffa while delivering the sermon of the Christmas service held at the Celestial City, Imeko, Ogun State.

"Christ has been given to us, as we do the will of God. Today which is Christmas, there are many people who are in places of merry making, celebrating Christ in the wrong way. May God have mercy on them" he prayed.

The son of the founder of the Church also asked Christians to imbibe the spirit of humility, as Christ is perfectly humble, saying that Christ did not look at his status in heaven, but he decided to come to this world to be born in manger to die for the sins of man.

He added that Christians will surely face challenges as Christ also did. "Since Christ overcame his challenges, God will make us overcome our challenges too" he prayed.

He urged that as followers of Christ, Christians must not curse. "Do not curse your enemies. Does God's Spirit abide with you? If it abides with you, you will be free. Know definitely that as Celestians we must preach Christ" he said.
