The kidnapping of the Igbonla 6, which has been the popular term for the six boys kidnapped by some armed men who invaded their school, the Igbonla Model College, Epe, Lagos 6 is now an event which the victims, their parents and family members will love to put away quickly.

One of the kidnapped boy, Peter Jonah is a member of the Church. His family worships at Celestial Church of Christ Epe Parish 1. Him and his friends were kidnapped for 64 days.

Those who kidnapped Peter and his friends did not go unpunished as most of them were killed by the men of the Nigerian Police during the rescue mission.

While narrating how the Igbonla 6, were rescued, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni said 20 of the kidnappers died during a gun duel with security forces, with minimal casualties from the side of the Police force.

This shows that the glory of the Church remains intact. The God of Celestial Church of Christ protects his own always.
