The debate about the appropriate language to use during the church service will never cease anytime soon.

Another view on the subject matter was voiced out by a member, Cheung Elijah. He maintained that the church cannot win souls with the over reliance on Yoruba language to conduct service.

Elijah wrote: "It is unfortunate that at 70, CCC is not conscious of the various tools available to us to win souls for Christ.

I attended a CCC wake keep service and even though majority of the people and visitors who attended were non Yoruba, the choir, shepherds and service conductor never cared about the disconnect between them and the audience, they did all the hymns and prayers in Yoruba.

The result, by the time the service ended, 75% of people had left. We can't win over souls if we are choose to remain in our language comfort zone.

Imagine parishes in USA, UK, Delta, Edo, even in the North conducting services in Yoruba language. It's shameful. We cannot win more people from other races and tribes like that.
