Drug Abuse || How parents are helping children to engage in this deadly act - Prophetess Yinka Obanikoro

The prevalent abuse of drugs among youth is worrisome and many reasons have been given as the cause of the increase of this dangerous act. This was made known at the 20th Annual Youth Conference of Celestial Church of Christ at Oshoffa Miracle Fortress, Ifo, Ogun State, Nigeria.

Prophetess Yinka Obanikoro in a lecture at the conference titled Flee the abuse of drug: "It's Uncelestial", listed many reasons drugs are abuse by youth across the country, but warned that parents may be pushing their children into this widespread vice.

She warned that telling children that nothing good can come out from them is demoralizing and could make them seek relief from friends who may introduce them to drugs, as a palliative measure to forget their sorrow.

The trained teacher observed that excessive and harsh criticism of children have pushed some children into the abuse of hard substances. She advised parents to criticise their children but in an affectionate manner that protrays parental love towards their children.
