The desire to comprehend the mystery God's work in Celestial Church of Christ by other Christian denominations, resulted in Vatican, the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church and the Redeemed Christian Church of God to send their members to study the Celestial Church's liturgy.

This revelation was publicly disclosed on Saturday, 1st September by Senior Evangelist Omotosho Matthew Oshoffa, one of the sons of the founder of the Church, Reverend Samuel Bilewu Joseph Oshoffa at a symposium held at CCC Ikeja 1 Cathedral, to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the death of SBJ Oshoffa.





At the symposium, the younger Oshoffa spoke on the topic The Grace in CCC and the Secret of Oshoffa. Tosho named Reverend Father Michael Jerry as one of those sent by Vatican, because reports got to the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church that Catholics in the south-western part of Nigeria were leaving for Celestial Church of Christ, due to miracles taking place in the fold.

The Reverend father was said to have conducted researches about the source of the miracles which took place in the Church, but was convinced to have seen that the founder of the Church was not making use of any contrary powers, but that given to him by God.


Tosho further revealed that Jerry met his father before returning back to Vatican and he publicly declared to the senior Oshoffa that the Holy Spirit dwell in him. He added that Reverend Jerry's revelation facilitated the decision of Pope John Paul II to schedule a meeting to see SBJ when he visited Nigeria in 1982.

Also, Tosho said the first ever monthly Holy Ghost Congress of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, was held after those sent by the leading Pentecostal Church in Nigeria have studied the potency of Celestial Church's new month service, which is held every first Thursday of every month. He argued that this resulted to RCCG choosing first Friday as the period of her own monthly Holy Ghost Congress.
