One of the emissaries sent by the Vatican to investigate why members of the Catholic Church were leaving for Celestial Church, warned the founding Pastor of the Church, Reverend SBJ Oshoffa about 3 issues which he felt would be inimical to the Church's image. This Reverend Father is known by the name Reverend Father Michael Jerry.

It is believed that the Roman Catholic priest might have met Oshoffa between 1978 and 1981. The priest informed Oshoffa that he has observed activities of the Church, but cautioned that in coming years, the following are going to be inimical to the Church's image.


1. The gift of prophecy. Reverend Jerry warned that many members possess the gift of prophecy and if not properly trained, they may make use of the power of prophecy for personal gains which will be a course of worry for Oshoffa and the. Church.

2. Free Anointment. He also cautioned that members were given anointment to positions on a platter of gold without working or studying hard for such positions. He said those being anointed will become too powerful.

3. Fornication and adultery. The Catholic priest agreed that the segregation of male members from the females in the church is excellent, but note that it will not be enough to stop sinful members from committing fornication and adultery.ƴHe advised that more work will be needed to instil discipline and the fear of God in the mind of members, as the sitting arrangement will not curb sexaul related sins.

This revelation was publicly disclosed on Saturday, 1st September by Senior Evangelist Omotosho Matthew Oshoffa at a symposium held at CCC Ikeja 1 Cathedral, to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the death of SBJ Oshoffa.
