Legacy entails passing on things of lasting values to those who live after us. Legacy focuses on what will endure - preservation of heritage. It's aimed at intentionally building generation upon generation for their success.

A youth without a meaningful existence is a waste to his/her generation. A youth of legacy-laced history is a fountain/thinker/role model/motivator/solution solver (all attributes in a person).

The recent trend at which youth think they are building legacies in CCC include:

1. Running Ministries (Platforms/Groups):

Some handlers are half baked administrative wise, lack insight of human management, raising rebels in the name of being the most knowledgeable ones. Some are not sure of their call. While they are with Jesus during the day, in the dark of the night they become apostles of Lucifer. They claim to be descendants of Nehemiah when they are real associates of Gehazi.

In the past and sometimes also in our present time, the majority use the pulpit to settle personal differences. The pulpit is meant to proclaim Christ not for self glory or awareness of feats/achievement. It is a waste of career in the spiritual journey to be celebrated physically but underscored in the spiritual realm.

Ministration via music/word/evangelism shouldn't be for rivalry or competition. Matthew 28 vs 19-20 commissioned us to win souls not to increase rivalry amidst souls who claim to have been saved but not acting like they're saved. Our ministry should be centered majorly on soul winning.

2. Relating jobs we do with church negatively:

Be it on the scene or behind the scene, unarguably we have talents (movie stars / celebrity social singers / instrumentalists). The “BUT” about the issue associated with them is that they champion bringing the world (secular acts) into the church via jezebelic dressing, club-style dance steps in God's sanctuary. Also close relationships with their shepherds and crazy scenes are shot within the church premises for public view/castigation of CCC. We should not open our church/territory to such a gory scene for public view.

3. Use of Social Media Platform:

Criticism is much more than appraisal with the use of social media. Enough of slaying in transparent garment, erotic pose for snapping, which give room for negative comments and posted via people's status for mockery.

Our usage of social media should focus on rebranding and positioning the church in a positive light. I shake my head in pain sometimes when unnecessary posts generate lengthy comments which aren't worthwhile.

4. Be teachable:

Humility is lost in the dictionary of many youths. Some are empty barrels with little or no idea of what they represent/believe in. Matthew 7:20, Proverbs 13:22.

Be under the training of people with no questionable character either spiritually or socially. Ecclesiastes 2:21.

Youths that want to live a life worthy of emulation and legacy driven must adhere to the following ways :

1. Be a worthy ambassador in conducts/manners.

2. Moderate dressing (moderate makeup inclusive for females)

3. Positive posting via social media platform.

4. Proper mentorship.

5. Respect for authorities.

6. Need for anointment.

7. Being fulfilled maritally.

8. Being fulfilled career wise.

Those that live a life of legacy live exemplary lives. You work for legacy to be left before you during your existence and after your existence. Whatever platform you are given to lead people, let “what is my legacy for living as a member of Celestial Church of Christ” be in your thinking!

Great legacy will be passed by well meaning youths whose life is worthy of emulation unto upcoming ones. May God uphold the youths in CCC unto the end to live a legacy filled life IJMN.
