Why Wikipedia changed SBJ Oshoffa’s date of birth

The bio data page of the international passport of Reverend SBJ Oshoffa has been circulating online, an a major discrepancy in the known day and the month of his birth was greatly noticed. Before now, the 18th of May, 1909 has been the date of birth ascribed to him as published in all of the church major publications and on online encyclopedia, Wikipedia.

However, the date stated on his travel document with number 0172441, shows that he was born on October, 11th 1909. Findings indicate that no one knows which of the two dates are correct as no plain reason can be attributed to the cause of the error, as the Dictionary of African Christian Biography, was also silent on what day and month Oshoffa was born.

However, an update has been made on Wikipedia in changing the date from 18th of May to October, 11th 1909. This update was changed in less than 2 hours of the release of Oshoffa’s travel document on social media.

PS: It has been discovered that the copies of SBJ Oshoffa’s international passport was drawn from a book written by Oshoffa’s Daughter, Edith Oshoffa with the title, SBJ Oshoffa: The Enigmatic Spiritual Leader of our time.
