The sanctification of the sutana before wearing it is a trending discussion on Celestial Discuss, the number one Facebook group that focuses on recent happenings in the Church. The discussion authored by Felicia Teniola is centered on whether it is compulsory to sanctifying the sutana before wearing it.

While some of those who commented agreed with Felicia's opinion, a good number also disagree as they emphasized keeping the heart and body holy than the sutana.

A member, Oladunni Owolabi Olatunji opined that the Church's white garment is a uniform that will not be a guarantee in making heaven. She advised members to serve God in a holy way by following His commandments.

However, Babajide Runsewe argued that adorning the garment before sanctification gives room for one to test whether the garment fits or needs adjustments.

Fab Debs in towing the same line with Olatunji, asked what should be said of those who wear a sanctified garment on unsanctified body and heart, while Oladipupo Richie advised that those demanding that the sutana should be sanctified should wake up from being too religious.

Irrespective of Richie, Debs, and Olatunji's opinion, someone like Adunni Gold, says every of her new garment is kept in the altar for 7 days for sanctification.

While Akindasa O'Seun Amuwa advised those who do not sanctify their garment to do so as such practice has been from inception.

However, Adeoye Julius argued that while it is a good idea to sanctify the garment, it is not a must to do so. He based his argument on his relationships with both former members of the initial Board of Trustees of the Church, Alexandra Bada and Ajanlekoko in Makoko.
