How Church Workers, Shepherds, Pastors, Ministers can take care of their health
Susan Akpomera

The refusal of some Church workers to take care of their health often led to early death says, Susan Akpomera, this is coming after the death of Pastor Ezekiel Atang.

The Healthy Living Consultant made this known in an article, where she recommended the need for a healthy lifestyle for shepherds and church workers in active ministry and service.

In the article she urged Church workers to take care of their health, saying "Take care of your health, I mean pay close attention to your attention, your effectiveness in the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ is tied to how healthy you are in your body.

"You will struggle in ministry if you can barely do anything because you are sickly and sometimes it is a cumulative effect of how you lived your youthful years... Let me tell any minister or shepherd's first hand, if you don't take care of your health, your body will kick your spirit and we know what that means.

Susan mentioned what Clergies can do to live a healthy lifestyle. She advised they should always delegate duties rather than trying to attend to every events and situations.

"Know when to stay at home and sleep. Know when to switch off your phone and sleep. Know when not to take invitations. Learn to delegate sir/ma, Susan wrote.

The Healthy Living Consultant also noted the importance of eating the right meals, as she cautioned against eating any kind of meal. Furthermore, she recommended the regular drinking of water and the eating of fruits.

"Drink water more than you take fruit juice. It is advisable after preaching a storm, don't jump on "Cold Chivita (fruit juice), or coke, or wine". Drink water first, at that level of exhaustion your blood sugar can be very high or low, water is the best equaliser," Susan Akpomera mentioned.
