Sermon in Celestial Church of Christ

A discussion by two new members from the Redeemed Christian Church of God described the Church as a spiritually gifted Church, but want the Church to work on an important aspect.


Both new members, Akinwale Alu and Omolola Adejoke gave this suggestion in a discussion regarding sermon in the Church.


One of the new members Akinwale Alu says, "I joined celestial not long, as spiritual as it is, the preaching is next to zero. Message from heavenly beings, that's good, bowing down to worship God, lovely; but preaching the word of God, not too good.


Omolola Adejoke Adeyinka who became a Celestian last year mentioned that "preaching is something else... may God have mercy. "The word of God should be like food to the congregation, the elders should look into this, Akinwale Alu advised.


Another new member who also recently joined the Church says the preachers in the parish he attends have good preachers. The member with the Facebook name, Shady Poshy says, "I think it is your parish, I joined a few months ago and my parish preaches about Salvation and other interesting topics and the preaching is excellent. In fact, I was amazed because I never knew they could preach like that. I had an opinion that all they do is ise (spiritual work), candle work, e.t.c. I was a Redeemer for 32 years.


Also, members who have stayed long in the Church informed Omolola and Akinwale that the problem is not widespread, as the issue is specific to the parish they attend. Abidemi Omotoke Adewunmi, disputed that "it depends on your parish or sermoner. In my parish, sermon is a total breakthrough and deliverance session... Members are always filled in and out i.e both physical and spiritual."


Temitope Sunday Ogunnaike added that "it depends on the parish you worship. kindly follow Anu Oluwapo Parish on Facebook and listen to pure and undiluted word of God. Celestial Church is blessed with wonderful Word ministers."
