Reverend Beni Omoge |
In an interview with Nigeria Tribune, Reverend Gabriel Beni Omoge, who is one of the factional leader of the Church has revealed why he was ordained as one of the head of all Pastors of the Church despite not being close to the late Pastor and Supreme Head, Reverend Maforikan.
While speaking with the Newspaper, Omoge likened how he found his way into Celestial Church like that of a spectator, saying he visited the Church for the first time in 1977 on the invitation of his elder brother.
"My elder brother invited me to CCC Ikeja Parish 2, Lagos in 1977 putting on white robes without shoes, not knowing what God had in stock for me" he narrated.
Omoge described how he found his way as the head of the Church, as the work of God, stating that he was not close to his predecessor.
"I was also the Archdiocesan Head of Ondo and Ekiti States for eight years. Shortly after, the then Head of the CCC, Pastor and Supreme Head, Maforikan, sent for me on May 14, 2015.
"I was afraid because I was not close to him. He did not know my house till he died and I wondered what I had done wrong.
"But in the presence of some elders and pastors of the church, he proclaimed me the next head of the church after his demise, saying that was what the founder, Pastor Oshoffa, told him" Omoge said.

Brother Omoge, I put it to you, if someone comes up among your faction and declare himself a Pastor over you what would you say? Do you know that there is a Pastor in position, even if his elective was controversial? How do you justify the calling of Pa Maforikan to the calling of God? If you claim that you joined this church in 1977, you must aware and definitely know Pa Oshoffa, do you ever hear him how he demonstrated how the position of the Pastor will be filled? Now that you claim to be the Pastor, have you in your mind think that your claim could create a big controversy among the the parishioners? To your sense of understanding, and a man who claim he has the spirit of God, how many Pastor do you think we have now? and how many Pastors do we suppose to have? I challenge you with all these question for your own sake to deliberate on it and do the right thing.
ReplyDeleteYour response is so naive. You ask whether (disrespectfully calling him Brother) Pastor Omoge is the true pastor of CCC but that question should equally be thrown to all the pastors.
DeleteThe spirit of God does not breed confusion yet you confirm that the selection of Pastor Emmanuel Oschoffa was controversial.
If truth be told, none of us know who the true pastor is but we accept who we want to follow according to our parishes. As long as the church is not unified, then we don't know who is truly the one.
The more important aspect to worry about is not who is the pastor but for us to seek out own salvation by worshiping God steadfastly, in spirit and in truth.
The church is of Christ and nothing happening is without the knowledge of God, so let's stop acting like e know because we don't. Many of us are not in spirit anymore we have become sheeple, people following the crowd like sheep. Wake up, don't sleep. Everyone of us will contribute to the elevation of this church but the question is which side will we be on when the time comes, those who will fall by the way side or those who will gain from the glory of the church.
I pray the church will continue to grow, elevate, develop save save lives. I pray that in my life time this church will be unified.the confusion, sorrow and division that has been present for over 30 years will turn to joy, unity and spiritual strength in the mighty name of Jesus.
The only thing I like in the article is how pastor Maforikan selected him( pastor Omoge)as a pastor in the presence of the elders. If papa did that before his demise the church will not be in this situation
ReplyDeleteThis is very true. Otherwise, may be he did. But those that are power Hungary, money conscious didn't do the right thing after papa left. God help us all
