This was made known in a letter signed by three executives of the alumni body. The letter was written after a task force team led by Venerable Superior Evangelist J.O Olabode, the General Superintendent of Ijebu land assaulted Superior Evangelist E.O Akaba, the Shepherd of the Students' Parish and students on January 13th.

The alumni body described the nature of the assault on Akaba and the students as demonic barbaric, unchristianly, inhumane and heartless because the Shepherd who had served for more than 20 years has been faithful, without ever being charged for any financial or sexual immoral impropriety that could tarnish the Church's image.

"We want to make it known that, while the shepherd may not be of value to the authorities of the church that he has served meritoriously for over 20 years, we hold him in high esteem and nothing must happen to him. We will hold the authorities of the church responsible for any injury or harm done to any student and the shepherd.

"The body of the alumni members of the students' parish home and abroad is watching and we are ready to employ all lawful means to ensure that the rights of the shepherd and students to personal dignity is never again so blatantly violated," the letter reads.
