Celestial Church's membership of CAN resulted in the Church losing its power says Temitope Majaiyeyomi.

In a lengthy opinion piece, Majaiyeyomi condemned the decision of Reverend Alexander Abiodun Bada's in making the Church join the foremost Christian Association in Nigeria, despite the refusal of the founder of the Church, Reverend Pastor SBJ Oshoffa to accept the invitation to join the association while he was alive.

The piece was written in response to a question why the Church is not a member of the Christian Association of Nigeria. Majaiyeyomi, mentioned greed as the reason the Church became a member of the association.

Going back memory lane, she recalled that SBJ Oshoffa declined the offer by the Christian Association for the Church as its member.

She mentioned that after the demise of the founder, one of the leaders of the Church who became the factional head of the Church, Reverend Alexander Abiodun Bada made the Church become a member of the association.

"But after the death of SBJO, Baba Bada joined… Some of the troubles we are facing now, is one of those things laid down through Baba Bada.

"Our doctrines don't have value again unlike during Papa's time. We allowed a lot of things.

"We took pastors with mufti to our altar, all in the name of association. We took them to our barricades to officiate for us, which we all know it's against our rules.

 

"I will let everyone one of us know this. We have lost alot of precious Spiritual things in this fold. Our church was never a literature church, it's a practical church.  We practicalise things."

Majaiyeyomi declared that she is not against CAN, but the mandate of the Celestial Church of Christ differs from others. "I am not against CAN, but our assignments on earth are different from each other," she declared.
