The sterling qualities of Reverend Paul Maforikan's virtues have been extolled by his Children, as declared in a statement by his children. This statement was posted on a Facebook page Pastor Paul Surulere Maforikan which is dedicated in memory of the late claimant of the Church's pastoral seat.

In the 5 paragraph statement, the Maforikans revealed that their dad dedicated his life to encouraging them to serve God with fear and humanity and not to be after the pleasures of this world.

"All he encouraged during his lifetime was serving God with fear and humanity and not running after big churches to be Shepherd. He always preaches against greediness, hatred and fornication," the statement reads

On polygamy, they revealed that their patriarch never encouraged the idea despite being a polygamist. "Despite he is a polygamist he never encouraged being a polygamist. He will say don't copy me because you might not have the grace I have to be a polygamist, Maforikan's Children disclosed.
